Next Week Character Creation...Calling all Recyclable Containers

Character Creations

Next week the children will be creating a character out of any items that he or she bring in.  We are doing this as a pre-writing activity for a narrative story.  The children will then use this character to write a story about.  The children will make a plan for their story including the story elements we have been learning about in reading groups.  This will help the children link their reading and writing skills.  I am asking that next Tuesday, February 21st you send in any supplies that your child could use to create their main character.  

Examples may be rinsed and dried milk jugs, yogurt containers, yarn, buttons, pipe cleaners etc. Please do not send them in before next Tuesday as we do not have the room to store them.
