Clouds and Cloud Making

Science this week - Clouds!

This week in science we are looking at the clouds!  Friday AM I took a flight to my nephew's wedding in Texas.  As I was flying with my own children I couldn't help snap some photos for the class as we were headed through the clouds and finally above the clouds.

Please click on the photos to see videos we will be watching in class

This is one photo that I shared with the students from the flight home Sunday evening.  The photos were taken at the same time out of the different sides of the plane.  The top photo is the moon (supermoon) and the bottom was of the sunset.  It was a very cool experience.
This week we will be learning that there are 3 things needed to make a cloud:
1. air
2. water (water vapor)
3. particles (dust, smoke)

We created a cloud in a bottle.  I used a match to create the particles for the cloud.  I want to assure you we have discussed fire safety and that it is NEVER okay for a child to use matches or play with fire.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me!
